Medical Disclaimer

Quick answer: Everything on Lean Peptide Guide is general information. It is not medical advice, it does not describe what is right for you, and it does not replace a conversation with a licensed clinician. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved. A licensed physician decides whether any prescription is appropriate.

Not medical advice

The guides on this site summarize what regulators, approved drug labels and published studies say. They are written by an editorial team, not by a doctor, pharmacist or dietitian, and no page has been signed off by a clinician. Do not use this site to diagnose a condition, to choose a medication or to change a dose. Talk to a licensed clinician who knows your health history before you start, stop or change anything.

No clinician relationship

Reading this site does not create a relationship between you and any clinician. If you use a service that this site links to, the relationship is between you and that service, under its own terms.

Compounded medications

Compounded medications are not FDA-approved. The FDA does not review them for safety, effectiveness or quality before they are sold, and a pharmacy's licence is not the same as FDA approval of the drug. Brand-name drugs such as Wegovy and Zepbound are FDA-approved; compounded versions of the same ingredient are not. Our guide to compounded GLP-1s explains the difference. The FDA's own page on unapproved GLP-1 drugs is the place to check current warnings.

Peptides sold as "research use only"

Products labeled "research use only" or "not for human consumption" are not prescription medicines. The FDA has said that this wording does not change what a product is when it is sold for use in people. We do not link to such sellers.

Our partner

Whoosh Wellness is our one partner, and we may earn a commission on links to it. A licensed physician decides whether any prescription is appropriate, and nothing on this site promises that you will be approved. Read the affiliate disclosure.

Emergencies

If you think you are having a medical emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number. Do not rely on this site for urgent care. If a medication causes a serious reaction, contact a clinician or poison control right away.

Standard statement

The statements on this site have not been evaluated by the FDA, and the information is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

Accuracy

Drug labels, FDA positions and company offerings change. Each page shows when we last updated it and links to its sources. Check the source and your clinician before you rely on any page. See the terms of use and the about page.
